Great reviews from European media
After the January 2017 launch of her debut album, a 13 track LP produced by Conquering Lion Records titled ‘Unconquerebel’, roots, reggae artiste Hempress Sativa has been enjoying exceptional success after her recently concluded European tour. The tour took her to countries such as, Belgium, France, Spain and the United Kingdom where she got a chance to spread her message music to sold out audiences of over 200,000.
Her electrifying performance at popular mega reggae concerts as Reggae Geel left an indelible mark, therefore earning a reputable feature from Reggae-vibes.com as quoted, "Hempress Sativa who totally rocked the sing along crowd in front of her audiences and for those who attended her performance, Hempress Sativa (expertly backed by her Unconquerebel band with bassie Devon Bradshaw and guitarist Ian ‘Beezy’ Coleman) was the brightest shining star of the first festival day."
Johan Tackx from Reggae Geel, further underscored Sativa, saying, "I want to thank you again for the wonderfull performance you gave at the Yard stage at Reggae Geel last Friday. I was truly honoured to have such a strong lady on my stage. For me it was the best performance I witnessed this weekend, and many came to me to tell me the same! The people really were impressed by your stage performance, this will be a concert people talk about for a long time. I'm already looking forward to the next time you will be in Europe.
She would move on to grace the stage of Rototom in Celebrating Africa, in Benicassim Spain.
Hempress Sativa’s performance at Rototom was by far the highlight of the night. Her commanding stage presence demanded the attention of the audience who were actively engaged as she rocked the crowd with her dub anthems ‘Boom (Wa Da Da Deng)’produced by Paolo Baldini Dubfiles on the Kingston 6 riddim, ‘Skin Teeth’, ‘Rock It Ina Dance‘ and a big hit with the sensimillia-smoking crowd was her refix of The Fugees ‘Fugee-La’ tune, she titles ‘Oh la la The Weed Thing‘.
